Practical tip: start with a clear operating model, SLAs and an incident response plan. Self-hosting only delivers advantages if accompanied by clear operational processes and responsibilities.
Model drift is inevitable in production environments if production conditions, materials or usage patterns change. Preventively, a monitoring layer that tracks performance metrics, checks data distributions and triggers alerts on deviations helps. Versioning of models and data (data version control) enables quick rollbacks and root-cause analysis.
