When will VR finally take off? Not before it becomes way more accessible

This is how easy and fast it was to start a game on N64. Remember?Not so on the modern Virtual Reality headset "Quest Pro" by Meta that was just introduced.It seems like customer centricity doesn't really play a role there and that hurts adoption.Besides the steep price point of around 1.500โ‚ฌ,it's simply no fun to set up the device in the room;then you still have to get the software side going: install Steam and some other stuff on your computer;and when you got that over with, you still have to

Why is YouTube so successful?

Why is YouTube so successful?Because it shares its revenue with creators. This attracts people who see an economic perspective in producing content.And who make an effort to produce content that is so good that it reaches a large target group.Twitter is also expected to get "creator monetization" soon. What will be the long-term effect of that? More hate speech because it spreads better? Or better content from more responsible creators?Source: https://lnkd.in/ekuFtsZy#twitter #monetization

When it comes to the Twitter overhaul, the principle should be: "Always assume positive intent"

When it comes to the Twitter overhaul, the principle should be: "Always assume positive intent" Musk has repeatedly emphasized how important he considers Twitter as the "digital marketplace for free speech and exchange" (= townsquare of humanity). After many years of total abstinence I find it extremely exciting to be on Twitter again and to see what's happening and how people from Musk's bubble directly "customer-develop" new features on Twitter. And p

Invention != Innovation

Approximately at the same time as Thomas Edison, 17 people worldwide invented the light bulb. But today only Thomas Edison is still known. That is the difference between innovation and invention. In everyday speech every technical novelty is called an innovation. But that's not entirely correct: a technical invention is initially only an "invention". It becomes an "innovation" through the successful

Metaverse sucks

Fact: the Metaverse sucks without proper content.Virtual office meetings, Second Life 2.0 or Play-to-Earn games just don't cut it if you want people to really deeply engage in a virtual world, or better even: live in it.I've known this since my days of World of Warcraft addiction.And there you have it. That's why Microsoft buys Activision Blizzard.Yes, they believe in the Metaverse, but they also understand the necessity of good content to make that happen.Feliks EyserDr. Marcus Gรถtz what do you
