Why is YouTube so successful?

Why is YouTube so successful?

Because it shares its revenue with creators. This attracts people who see an economic perspective in producing content.

And who make an effort to produce content that is so good that it reaches a large target group.

Twitter is also expected to get "creator monetization" soon. What will be the long-term effect of that? More hate speech because it spreads better? Or better content from more responsible creators?
