Understand your critical path!

⚡ Understand your critical path!

As a free-market entrepreneur that’s maybe not as important, because you have more possibilities to do trial and error and still come out with some result at the end.

𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁. If you’re not successful, you will be shot down very quickly. If you’re too successful early on, you will be shot down very quickly.

One thing I like to do to get a better critical path understanding:

think backwards.

Start by understanding really well what your current goal is. 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘁𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝘀. Always think venture first.

Then think backwards from there: what do you have to do to achieve that goal? How do you measure goal achievement? Who do you have to convince and how? Which conflicting interests might come up?

Once you have figured that out, start acting with conviction and determination. And “acting” is the keyword here. 𝗬𝗲𝘀, 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲.

Corporate managers can sniff out insecurity like truffle pigs and 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗶𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝘁, especially when what you’re doing threatens their own position in any way.

Hope that helps you get a better understanding what to do next!
